Updates December 2005

Some of my other web sites appear offline ?

If you are an existing Pipex / Webfusion customer and are experiencing repeated problem with service levels, support and downtime for your web site(s) I strongly urge you to report them to Trading Standards and to the BBC’s Watchdog. If enough of us make an issue, perhaps something will be done!

Much more on this in my blog…

11th: Added another blog!
As ever, playing around with ‘new’ ideas and toys. Currently I am looking at integrating a content managent system with this place, if only for folk to leave comments. To this end I’ve added a MoveableType blog. I do have Mambo installed around here somewhere, but I’ve never got round to playing with that one.

Naturally it’s a bit rough as I only installed it today and haven’t had change to integrate it with the rest of the Ackadia. Looks very nice, potentially. Take a look, let me know what you think…

As you may know, I am helping raise money for Manchester Children’s Hospital. As it happens one of my friends is also funding via a bike run. If you want to see, or even join up to 2,000 hoary mods and bikers, here’s your chance:

Last year 1,500 bikes gathered together for a charity drive. Between them they raised an impressive £16,300 for Francis House Children’s Hospice, and a further 1,700 toys were taken to Pendlebury Children’s Hospital.*

XBox 360 incoming

It’s a bit rough yet, but I’ve started a look at the Microsoft’s latest console. You can find it here: [World Wide Wait: Xbox 360]

Before you start, the label refers to the fact the world and it’s siblings are waiting with bated breath for this graphically intense beast. You had your chance to pre-order. No use blaming Microsoft if you didn’t. They’ll be plenty come the new year. Dabs has hundreds on back-order for a start!
