Sheila White : When Life is Done

When Life is Done

When fate decides to end my life,
And orders me “Begone”
I’ll look back and think about
The things that I have done.

Amidst the tears and the strife I caused
I hope that I will find,
One person, somewhere, who will say
“She was really good and kind”

When travelling through life we aim
To be witty smart and clever,
That’s all forgotten after life
But good deeds live on forever.

So let us all do one good deed
To help us through ‘The Gate’,
If time is short, just ask thy Lord,
I feel sure that he will wait.
