This is a rough guide for those that are unsure which secondary/enhancement stats are best for your druid, based on data from leading sites like Icy-Veins and WoWhead. It will also tell you what food buff is probably best to be using. (Currently updated to patch 6.2/6.22). If you know of any other good web sites specifically aimed at this class please do let me know via comments.
- Stat priority for a Balance/Moonkin Druid: Mastery (… of the Savant / Peerless)
- Mastery > Critical Strike > Haste > Multistrike > Versatility
(Icy veins: Moonkin) - Mastery > Critical Strike > Haste > Multistrike >= Versatility
(Mr Robot: Moonkin) - Mastery > Critical Strike => Haste > Multistrike > Versatility
(Wowhead: Moonkin) - Mastery > Haste > Multistrike >= Crit > Versatility
(Noxxic: Moonkin)
Feasts give mastery as their food buff.
- Stat priority for a Restoration Druid: Haste (… of the Impatient / Feverflare / (Zealot))
- Haste > Mastery > Multistrike > Critical Strike > Versatility > Spirit
(Icy veins: Resto) - Spirit > Haste > Mastery > Multi > Critical Strike > Versatility
(Mr Robot: Resto) - Spirit > Haste > Mastery > others (!)
(Wowhead: Resto) - Haste > Mastery > Multistrike > Critical Strike > Versatility > Spirit
(Noxxic) - Spirit > Haste > Mastery > Critical Strike > (others)(Healing WoW)
As with most healing classes, you only need spirit until you are comfortable with your mana regeneration. Feasts give haste as their food buff.
- Stat priority for a Feral Cat Druid: Crit (… of the Decimator / Peerless)
- Critical Strike > Mastery = Multistrike > Versatility > Haste
(Icy veins: Feral) - Critical Strike > Mastery > Multistrike > Versatility > Haste
(Mr Robot: Feral) - Critical Strike > Multistrike > Versatility > Mastery > Haste
(Wowhead: Feral, single target ) - Mastery > Critical Strike > Multistrike > Versatility > Haste
(Wowhead for AoE/Cleave priority with rake and rip) - Critical Strike >= Multistrike >= Haste > Mastery >= Versatility
(Noxxic: Feral)
- Stat priority for a Guardian Bear Druid: Bonus Armor / Mastery (… of the Noble / Savant)
- Stamina* > Bonus Armor > Mastery > Multistrike > Versatility > Haste > Critical Strike.
(Icy veins: Guardian) - Bonus Armor > Agility > Multistrike > Mastery > Stamina >= Versatility > (others)
(Mr Robot: Guardian) - Bonus Armor > Mastery / Multistrike > Versatility > Haste > Critical Strike
(Wowhead: Guardian) - Stamina* > Bonus Armor >= Multistrike > Mastery > Versatility >= Agility >= Haste > Critical Strike
(Noxxic: Guardian)
*Really it’s a given that you need high health to tank, though in this expansion you need to be stacking armor whenever possible – unlike Wrath of the Lich King where stamina was everything. Icy veins do make this distinction, saying, "Stamina (until you have enough, …). As is increasing the case in writing this series I have to look at Noxxic’s preferences and wonder at the choices. I note that Feasts give mastery as their food buff to druid tanks.
