Warcraft stats priority for a Paladin

This is a rough guide for those that are unsure which secondary/enhancement stats are best for your paladin, based on data from leading sites like Icy-Veins and WoWhead. (Currently updated to patch 6.2). It will also tell you what gems, enchants and food buff is probably best to be using. If you know of any other good web sites specifically aimed at this class please do let me know via comments.

Stat priority for a Retribution Paladin: Mastery (… of the Savant / Merciless)
Mastery > Haste > Multistrike = Critical Strike > Versatility
(Icy veins: Retribution)
Mastery > Multistrike >= Haste >= Critical Strike > Versatility
(Mr Robot)
Mastery > Multistrike > Critical Strike > Haste > Versatility
(Wowhead: Retribution)
Multistrike > Mastery > Critical Strike > Versatility > Haste
(Noxxic: Retribution)

A bit of disagreement on these. Comparing then all, Mr Robot seems the best average, thus:
Mastery > (Multistrike / Haste / Critical Strike), ignore Versatility

Stat priority for a Holy Paladin: Crit (… of the Decimator / (Peerless/Fanatic))
Critical Strike > Mastery > Haste > Multistrike > Versatility
(Icy veins: Holy)
Spirit > Critical Strike > Haste > Multistrike > Mastery > Versatility
(Mr Robot: Holy)
Spirit > Critical Strike > Mastery > Haste > Multistrike > Versatility
(Wowhead: Holy)
Critical Strike > Multistrike > Mastery > Versatility > Haste > Spirit
(Noxxic: Holy)
Critical Strike > Spirit > Multistrike = Mastery = Versatility > Haste

As with all healers, only get as much spirit as you need not to run out of mana, anything beyond that is completely wasted. In common with most of healing build there’s a lack of consensus as to stat worth. All agree on crit but after that it gets muddy and it probably down to minor differences in rotation. I’d take HealingWoW advice at this level and assume they are all pretty close, but, comparing them, I’d suggest mastery after critical strike.

Stat priority for a Protection Paladin Bonus Armor / Haste (… of the Windshaper / Impatient)
Bonus Armor > Haste (to 50%) > Mastery > Critical Strike > Versatility > Multistrike
(Icy veins)
Bonus Armor > Strength > Haste >= Mastery > Stamina > Versatility (> Critical Strike)
(Mr Robot)
Bonus Armor > Haste (to 50%) > Mastery > Critical Strike > Versatility > Multistrike
(Wowhead: Protect)
Stamina > Bonus Armor (…) >= Versatility >= Haste >= Mastery > Critical Strike = Multistrike

Essentially, stack all the bonus armor you can get and get your haste up to 50%, then balance mastery with some crit and versatility, ignoring multistrike. As with healers and spirit, don’t worry to much over stamina unless it becomes a problem.
