Sheila (my gran) met her husband to be, Chalky, on a dull day, a day that changed her life.

This is a remarkable account of two people’s lives with all the drama of the last war and, for Sheila at least, the adjustment to a new country and her eventual tragic loss. told with honesty, it is a story that rivals all the great love stories of the past.
