Ewww!

Started passing red-brown stringy muck around 9am and my 'water' has gone from pale yellow to a murky brown colour. Well, ewww!
(Turned out to be nothing to worry about).

The urology doctor/surgeon popped in in the morning. They have slotted me in for an operation on Monday to fit two stents (tubes). He reiterated that double blockages to the ureters are very rare and that the damage to my kidneys is already done. That said, kidneys are very resilient so hopefully they will self repair in time.

I haven't mentioned this, I don't think, but me and my long term associates in the ward passed the time teasing the nurses while I was in there. All good fun. Well, today the nurses are getting their own back - tormenting me over drawing lots to see who has the pleasure of yanking the catheter out
Women are evil, evil I tell ya' !

Actually, in the end, they just use a syringe to deflate the balloon holding it in place. It come out a lot easier than it goes in… Smiley eeks
That said, once deflated, they left me to take it out at my leisure. Being cursed with a rather vivid imagination at times, I had visions of pulling my intestines and lungs out through the small orifice along with all the tubing.
Smiley afraid
Actually there was only a little discomfort and no mess - but I never, ever want to go through this again. Ever!
