« Nature and natural history »
Introduction
As a child I loved nature and kept a fair menagerie of pets. Indeed, as a child I was torn between training to be a zoo keeper or a forestry ranger. As it happens I started as a chemist and ended up a computer consultant, but I've never lost my interest in nature.
I'm not sure where I'll go with this section as it grow, but truly I wish folk would forget the greed, the beer and drugs, the designer labels and just, once in a while, look around as see the beauty all around. See the world as I see it, amazed at simple beauty of a tiny weevil shelter under a fern, trying to cling to life in some dirty back alley in nameless cities all over the world.
Man is the only 'animal' on earth that will destroy it's own habitat for no good reason. I think, maybe, I'll put photographs here in the hope of reminding a few more people what you take for granted, and links to conservation and similar.
